7. Movie Characters
Plenty of movies came out this year that would be great Halloween costumes: Baywatch, Rey, and Finn or Jyn Urso and Cassian Andor from The Force Awakens and Rogue One, respectively (or any Star Wars couple – Leia and Han, Anakin and Padme), or Baby and Debora from Baby Driver. There are also a few adorable costumes from older movies that you could wear as well like Buttercup and Wesley from The Princess Bride, Danny and Sandy from Grease, Mary Poppins and Burt from Mary Poppins, Bender, and Claire from The Breakfast Club, Marty McFly and Doc from Back to the Future.

Disney costumes are easy! Choose a costume like Belle and Prince Adam Beauty and the Beast or any princess paired with her prince. 4. TV Show Characters
Dress up as characters from your favorite sitcoms like Jim and Pam from the Office, Ross, and Rachel or Monica and Chandler from Friends, Martin and Gina from Martin. Try out a costume from one of your favorite TV shows from this past year and be Betty and Jughead or Archie and Veronica from Riverdale (or the Archie Comics), Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, Lucious and Cookie from Empire, Jack and Rebecca Pearson from This is Us, Eleven and Mike from Stranger Things, Kelly and Yorkie from Black Mirror: San Junipero. Or, if you’re trying to capture a classic look, dress as Ernie and Bert from Sesame Street, Morticia and Gomez Addams from The Addams Family, or Lucy and Ricky from I Love Lucy.
3. Comic Book Characters
Lots of comic book characters that were relevant this year: Spiderman and MJ, Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor, Harley Quinn and the Joker, Batman and Robin. Make your costume or buy one from the costume store.
2. Political Couples
There are a ton of options here: you could be Barack and Michelle Obama, Donald and Melania Trump, Hillary and Bill Clinton if you’re trying to be relevant in 2017! If you’re rather going old school, dress like Jackie Kennedy or Marilyn Monroe and JFK.
1. Pop Culture Costumes
Dress as Kanye and Kim, Jay-Z and Beyonce, or Ellen and Portia! Pop culture couples are always easy to emulate because you can pick one standout outfit and wear that as your costume! If you’re dressing as Beyonce wear a fun leotard and if you’re dressing as Jay-Z try a Yankee baseball cap and a hoodie. Or if you’re looking for a more classic pop culture costume, try Bonnie and Clyde or Sunny and Cher.
The best part about a costume is going all out, so no matter what you pick, be ready to get creative!
