Eat ice cream, enjoy fine dining, or grab a Philly Cheesesteak for on the go . Visit art shops, jewelry stores, or wine bars. Atlantic Ave is a hotspot for clubs s night. And just off the ave, you can find mini golf, biking, and more. They have it all!

Jungle Queen

Ok, so technically this dinner and show cruise takes off from Fort Lauderdale. But just a short half an hour drive and this will be one of the funnest and best date nights you go on in South Florida. First, you board the riverboat for a ride down the water. The “tour” is guided and you will learn about all the houses on the way and some of the richest people who live along the water. Once you get to the island, you walk through to dinner, where you’ll enjoy all you can eat BBQ with all the fixings. Next, it’s on to a variety show complete with dancing, fire, and maybe even a ventriloquist. The ride back is quiet and enjoyable with breezes off the water and some light music. I’m telling you, I’ve done this twice and I would do it again and again!

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gadens

Also to the west and a bit south in Delray, you can visit the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. This date is perfect as a day date and lunch or early dinner before they close. The grounds are covered in Japanese gardens to awe and inspire. The rock gardens are like nothing you’ve ever seen before and the Japanese house and schoolroom are straight from their culture. Plus, if you visit the restaurant, you’ll enjoy food so delicious, some consider it the best in Delray.

Delray Marketplace

Out west in Delray there’s the Delray Marketplace. It’s only about 6 miles to the Delray Marketplace from downtown Delray. If you want to eat and drink they have that. For a little date night activity, you can bowl or see a movie at Franks Theaters. Shopping experiences include Charming Charlie’s for women’s accessories for all ages, men’s suits and formal wear, or even a sugar shop called IT’SUGAR. You can get frozen yogurt from Menchies or a midnight snack from Publix, whatever you want, you can find it in the Delray Marketplace.

Beyond these ideas there are endless amounts of boardwalk walks where you can see “wild” Florida and lots of birds, turtles, and even an alligator. The area also has water parks, concert venues, all the outside activities you can think of and so much more. Delray is nothing if not a really fun place to visit, and of course, go on dates.
