In a 1995 article for The Wall Street Journal, Jollibee had five locations in Brunei; two in Jakarta, Indonesia, and one in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, along with 160 locations in the Philippines. History
The first-ever Jollibee branch was in Cubao, Quezon City, which opened in 1975 as a Magnolia Ice cream parlor. Since Jollibee was founded in 1978, there were 7 branches in Metro Manila. The first franchised outlet of Jollibee opened in Santa Cruz, Manila in 1979.

Western Expansion
In the United States, Jollibee has branches in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Florida, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Illinois, Washington, Maryland, Virginia, and Guam. The first location in the United States was opened in Daly City, California, in June 1998. After a two-year wait, a second Northern California location was opened in Union City in April 2000.
Two months later, the first site in Southern California, the seventh in the United States, was opened in Carson in June 2000. In the next month, the second site in Southern California, the fourth in the United States, was opened in Long Beach in July 2000.
The first Jollibee shop in Arizona opened in Chandler on December 28, 2019. The fast-food chain opened its first store in Texas in September 2013 in Houston. They also opened a location in San Antonio in 2019. In 2020, they opened locations in Missouri City and Plano. Jollibee is planning to have 150 outlets in the United States in 2023.
Jollibee has considered reestablishing its presence in Indonesia back in late 2016 to mid-2017 period as well as a return in the Malaysian market in 2016. The international fast-food chain even intended to open its first branch in Oman in the same year.
