Loving Christmas Presents for Your Favorite Christmas Date

These are gifts that are actually free or cheap.

Everyone loves to get gifts at Christmas, and whether you can afford it or not, (most) everyone likes to give gifts at Christmas, too. Here are a whole bunch of things you can gift to your Christmas date that are free or cheap. And of course awesome. I’m talking fun favorites, admiring words, and fun memories.

Write a Love Letter

Sing their praises, even if it’s only like so far. Explain how much they mean to you, all the fun things you want to do with them in the coming years, or even make it the first time you say, “I love you!” But make sure your ready with tips from 4 Ways to Know You’re Ready to Say “I Love You.” And if possible, add in a fun story from a past Christmas together. Just make it sweet, loving, and the best free present you could give.

Write A Coupon Book

These are cheesy but awesome and a great gift to give. Make a flipbook with things you can do for your date and allow them to use it as they choose. Add things like 20 minute back massage or 15 minute head rub. Other fun coupons could be dinner cooked by you or cooking together, movie of their choice, or fancy date night like a dress-up dinner or drinks and a show.

Make a Holiday Dinner Together

Getting into the kitchen always makes for a great date night. Cook something hearty, warm, and delicious and have a side of crisp salad with a yummy homemade dressing. Add a fruit heavy dessert and a sweet wine. For holiday spirit, choose nice plates, candles, flowers, and anything else seasonal and fun to add to the night.

Buy Each Other Christmas Ornaments

And make it a tradition. My family did this growing up and my husband and I do it now, and it’s really easy and fun. We love to choose ornaments that each other will enjoy and relate with.

Strike a Pose

It’s time to strike a pose and take a cheesy Christmas selfie together with Santa hats and candy canes . Then print off a bunch of copies and send them to your family and friends. They will think it’s cheesy too, but they’ll love getting it as much as you loved taking it.

Exchange Stockings

Stockings are a fun tradition and you can stuff them with anything you want. Fun ideas include a ”favorite” stocking with all of someone’s favorite things. You get their favorite soft socks, favorite snack, favorite sweet treat, favorite gum, favorite movie, favorite CD, and something they would love. Basically, you are getting all of their favorites. You could also do themed stockings, for the golf lover (my hubby), the natural products fan, or the one that likes everything sparkly. This is such an easy and fun way to give a Christmas gift and it’s so easily customizable. Oh and before I forget, scratch off lottery tickets are a super fun addition to your stocking and everyone loves them.

Other sweet but inexpensive presents could be a book you buy to read together, a puzzle you get to do together, or a romantic Christmas movie you get to watch together. If you’ve noticed, a good gift for your favorite Christmas date is pretty much anything you can do to spend your time, and a part of your holiday, with them.
