Who doesn’t love bacon? It’s our favorite way to eat pork, it goes with everything, and it’s obviously completely delicious.
The Best of Bacon
Bacon is a great product to work with. It browns and crisps up quickly and it goes with so many other things.
Versatile
Bacon’s versatility is one of it’s best qualities. You can have bacon as a topping to almost anything. Bacon works in all meals including but not limited to breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
Good Sweet or Savory
Either way, bacon is delicious. Bacon with vegetables creates a mouth-watering side dish and if you have bacon with dates, it’s sweet and savory, all in one.
Good with Vegetables and Fruit
Bacon is delicious with leafy vegetables, can be added to almost anything green, and tastes great added to fruits, too. There are dishes like fruit salad with bacon and cream cheese bites with bacon and fruit if you’re feeling adventurous and want to try a new dish with bacon.
Good Solo
And of course, if you love bacon, you love to eat it by itself! It’s salty, crunchy (if you want it to be, ) and tastes like, well, bacon!
How to Eat it
Alone
Like we’ve already said, bacon is delicious. Just fry it up and snack away. Bacon is life!
Maple Honey Bacon
This “sweet” bacon almost hints at the flavor of breakfast but is delicious and crispy, anytime. Pair this side with sweet pancakes or a savory cheese burger and caramelized onions. You will love it either way.
Bacon and Eggs
Because sometimes the simplest breakfast is the best breakfast. Not a fan of breakfast? This meal works just as well for brunch, lunch, or even dinner if you want. If you’re having breakfast for dinner, you must have bacon.
Bacon and Brussels
There is no better side dish, in my opinion, than bacon and brussels. Brussels sprouts get crunchy and so does the bacon and together with a little black pepper sprinkled on top, they are too good. I just had this dish a couple of nights ago and I already want it again.
Bacon and Cheddar Toast
My mom used to make this for us when we got home from school. It was a quick, easy, and delicious snack. I can see I got my love of bacon from a young age, as did we all. Just toast some bread and then add shredded cheddar cheese and bacon strips to the top. Broil the cheddar and bacon topped toast to melt the cheese and begin to just brown it. Take it out and serve it right away.
Bacon Cheddar Burgers
Because this combination is what bacon was made for. Well, that and bacon and eggs. I like to fry the bacon first, then take it our and cook the burger right in the bacon fat. Add the cheese and let it melt. Top the burger with the bacon, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and BBQ and eat it without a bun. This is my favorite way to eat a burger.
Bacon, Chicken, and Peas Parmesan Pasta
This is so easy and so delicious. It’s also oddly decadent for being so easy and it’s an all around win-win. The best way to make this pasta is to use shredded rotisserie chicken. First, saute the bacon the pan. Remove the bacon but don’t throw away the bacon fat. Add onions and black pepper to the pan and cook for a minute. Then add all the garlic you want and cook for an additional minute. Lastly, add a cup of frozen peas, two cups of precooked pasta, and the cooked bacon and shredded chicken to the pan and stir. Add in a couple of tablespoons butter and a couple of tablespoons parmesan cheese and stir. This pasta will be your new favorite bacon pasta.
You can use bacon as a topping on salads, pasta, chicken, sandwiches, toast, and as a side dish to almost anything. Try these new bacon recipes or enjoy your favorites. We love bacon!
