Mastro’s Steakhouse: July 16-22

Mastro’s Steakhouse in Midtown is an upscale venue with topnotch steaks and mega seafood platters. And between its swanky interior and live music, this chophouse is the place to be. Now with new cocktails to try, there’s even more of a reason to nab a reservation.

Midtown’s Quality Chophouse

The temperatures are really heating up, making it a perfect time to try some new refreshing cocktails. Mastro’s has its thirsty patrons covered with brand new summertime sips ideal for everyone’s palates.

Those thirsty for something light and refreshing to pair with the restaurant’s freshly-made sushi lobster roll can opt for the Dill Breaker. Made with vodka, muddled cucumbers, St. Germain Elderflower, and simple syrup, this baby is served over ice with a splash of club soda and garnished with a dill sprig for the ultimate thirst quencher.

There’s also the Lavender Collins infused with amethyst lavender gin, cointreau, and fresh lemon juice that is shaken and poured with club soda, making for a light but flavorsome concoction.

Anyone who loves a good Bloody Mary should try the steakhouse’s twist on the classic. Its Basil Mary is made with vodka, Bloody Mary mix, tabasco (both red and green for a real kick) and fresh basil leaves. It’s garnished with the traditional additions, such as a lemon wedge, olives, and a celery stalk along with a salted rim. And since this is a brunch-style drink, it might be ideal to order it when you opt for the jumbo lump crab cake off the lunch menu.

Craving something on the fruitier side? The vodka-infused Pomegranate Martini will surely suffice. Mixed with a sweet pomegranate syrup and freshly squeezed lemon, it’s the ideal companion to that crab cake appetizer.

Lastly, let’s not forget the Reposado Old Fashioned. Made with ROCA Patron Reposado tequila, angostura bitters, and mole bitters (a Mexican chocolate bitter), this cocktail is a combo that is earthy and creamy, perfect on its own or paired with a 16-ounce New York strip.

Mastro’s new cocktails debuted this summer but have been added to the regular menu, giving you plenty of time to try each one. Cheers.
