Morton’s The Steakhouse might be a chain, but it’s definitely not ordinary. Known for its dark and swanky interior and top-notch ribeye, this is a place for a celebration. Fitting, since the company is celebrating its 40th-anniversary and offering diners brand new items for a limited time.

From now until the end of the year, you can hit up one of Morton’s locations, such as the one on 5th Avenue, and try the State Street Manhattan. Created with the very first location in mind – located on State Street in Chicago – this is one impressive cocktail.

First off, you’ll get to the try the special edition of Redwood Empire Whiskey (made exclusively for the event). Second, you can watch as the whiskey (along with vermouth, cherries, and orange peels) goes through a cold drip coffee instrument and is then poured over ice. And to top it off, the drink is then garnished with none other than a piece of New York strip. Naturally.

This cocktail’s preparation is as impressive as the cocktail itself. Chicago Magazine shows how it’s done below.

But the State Street Manhattan isn’t the only thing worth checking out for this steakhouse’s anniversary celebration. There’s a new dessert, too. Meet the Ruby Red Velvet Cake, a.k.a. you’re new go-to sweet you’ll be craving all year-long.

This baby is not your average red velvet cake as it has a warm, gooey cheesecake center. And it’s topped off with a heaping scoop of Häagan-Dazs vanilla ice cream paired with raspberry sauce and white chocolate. Yowza!

Morton’s The Steakhouse is currently offering these new items from now until the end of the year – check them out while you can.
