Brooklyn’s chill BBQ joint, Pig Beach, known for its breezy outdoor patio and messy eats, opens a pop-up location in Greenwich Village, taking over Pig Bleecker for the rest of the summer.
This new spot, helmed by Chef Matt Abdoo, offers a relaxed feel with tables covered in butcher paper and grub served on trays.
Speaking of the food, fans of the Brooklyn location can expect similar plates of smoked meat nachos covered in cheese and jalapeños, hot sausage stuffed with cherry peppers, extra tender smoked brisket, and various sized burgers. There are also daily specials to check out, such as lamb tacos and fried chicken served in buckets.
Unique to this location is the chocolate and vanilla soft serve ice cream. You’ll have your choice of toppings like chunks of brownie, sprinkles, and smoked chocolate sauce. Because BBQ joints.
Of course, this Manhattan location will also serve the restaurant’s popular Froze, a frozen rose mixed with vodka, grapefruit, and aperitivo. Other drink choices include, But I Don’t Like Gin made with elderflower and gin, and Live at the BBQ beer offered both on draft and in cans.
And if you don’t feel like staying, or prefer having the food brought to you, take-out and delivery are also available.
Pig Beach Pop-Up is currently opened until the end of the summer (with a possible closing date in September) Monday-Thursday from 5:30pm-10pm and Friday-Sunday from 12pm-10pm.
