If you’re anything like me and my other half, you think that adventuring together is one of the most rewarding things that any couple can do. When we travel, we find ourselves, and travelling with a loved one can help you to find each other.
But I’m sure you don’t need much convincing, and so we’ll skip that and dive straight on in. Here are a few adventurous vacation ideas for you and your partner.
Four Vacations for the Adventurous Couple
1. Do some conservation
Wildlife conservation vacations are great because you can do a little good in the world while simultaneously travelling on a budget and seeing some of the most stunning locations that the world has to offer. What’s not to like?
2. Go backpacking
The good thing about backpacking is that you can build out your own itinerary and pretty much go anywhere and do whatever you want. You can even lengthen or shorten your vacation as needed, and as long as you pack light and carry the essentials with you, you’ll be able to vacation indefinitely.
3. Take a cruise
A lot of people think of cruises as something more relaxed and sedate, but it really depends upon the type of cruise that you go on. Cruises can be adventurous for couples; try looking into exploration cruises and even go on sightseeing or wildlife cruises. On the major cruise lines like you’ll find a vast array of excursion options but you can even go rogue and book your own excursions apart from what the cruise offers.
4. Take public transport
Another option if you want to see the world while travelling in comfort is to ride the rails. This is particularly good for travelling around Europe because the infrastructure is so good and you can see pretty much the entire continent by train. Taking public transit can be a great way to get around while experiencing the city from a local’s perspective. Heck! You can even make conversation with locals next to you to find out where to go next.
Conclusion
These are a few of my top tips, all travelers are different, and so you’ll want to plan an adventure that suits you and your interests, as well as those of your partner.
Still, I hope these ideas have helped to get you thinking and that you and your partner are able to go on an adventure together sometime soon. Be sure to take lots of pictures to capture your memories.
