Tapioca flour is derived from the cassava root, not to be stressed with it… we’ll get into that later. It’s clearly a staple food for many humans as it presents hundreds of starchy energies, lots like many carbohydrate foods. Compared to meal competitors like potatoes, it grows extra abundantly and it has twice the fiber and potassium.

We don’t typically eat tapioca flour the way we would a potato, either. Instead, we use it as flour for baking, a coating to replace bread crumbs and wheat flour, or as a thickening agent in stews and gravies. It provides a grain-free choice that works brilliantly in a huge variety of dishes.
